About
My name is Hadaweye P. Stones
Male, videographer and archivist.
A long lasting Internet surfer, neo-luddite, a reader and writer of stories, guides, and blogs. I tolerate solitude far more efficiently than I tolerate company.
My english is non-native, as you might have noticed.
Even though I have always been interested in technology, I do have a strong aversion to what modern technology has become, to the point of despising the devices I currently use. However, I still find myself tweaking and modifying whatever I can. It's an old habit of mine that refuses to die because it reminds me that most tools found in this protocol were made by us for us.
This space exists for the things that matter to me. The work I do and share, it is mine. It can be a guide, a tutorial, a thought, a blog article, a story, a fanfic. And in rare ocassions, a little bit of self-indulging. But it can also be vitrol, criticism and condemnation of many other things I deem stupid and absurd (which you are free to ignore).
I prefer silence, discipline, a focused and centered mind. Confined to my own domain to explore and learn whatever I find interesting. I abhor noise, commotion, distractions, and trivialities. There are unfortunately many things that hinder this. It is up to me to safeguard it, because it doesn't come for free.
There is noise is everywhere in the Internet, it's normalized, it's engineered, it's frowned upon and yet heavily sought after unconsciously. It's consumed and pushed to us at a speed we humans were never made to endure. Shallow, pathetic, unnecesarily vulgar and nauseting. Manipulated and engineered to keep the people engaged, polarized, and afraid. If it wasn't enough, people have been poisoned and terrifyingly trained to keep this disturbing mediatic culture treadmill going. They are not the same anymore, they are angered and increasingly convinced they're part of opposing teams. All of this, happening without any agency.
I have had enough of it, and decided to quit and reduce it to a minimum, if possible completely shutting it down, while extending this same mindset to many other aspects of my life, it has not been easy, but my efforts have granted me a bearable online corner.
Unfortunately, I am also still a victim of that old world I once thrive and flourished in. There are still many things to work on and to take off from my being, to unlearn old interests and hedonistic habits.
